Infertility can be one of the most isolating and distressing experiences someone can go through. When it seems like your friends can get pregnant easily, and the questions from well-meaning family seem never ending, the natural instinct may be to shut down and isolate. Feelings often compile on one another, creating an emotional rollercoaster making it extremely difficult to find the time and space to prepare and heal enough for the next cycle, phase, round, etc. The physical and emotional toll of the diagnosis and treatments can be daunting. Navigating reproductive health and family planning goals is complex, isolating, and unique to the extent where it can be difficult to find support.
My role is to offer support throughout the journey, wherever you may be in the process, ranging from medically assisted fertility treatment, surrogacy, or adoption. I have a deep personal understanding of the intricate interplay between mental health, relationships, and reproductive challenges. I endured 7 years of infertility treatment, ranging from Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) to In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), with failures and successes along the way.
Reproductive challenges have a significant impact upon our relationships and our emotional well-being and are often overlooked or misunderstood in the therapeutic process. I believe I have the therapeutic and personal experience to effectively support you with challenges around reproductive health. For those going through it – I see you, hear you, and I understand you.
