Our experiences shape our perspectives leaving us with a narrative that may not truly reflect or honor who we are. I hope to guide my clients through these areas of their story that are no longer serving them to help them heal. For the past 14 years, my work has focused on children, teens, adults, and families that have experienced trauma. I graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and received my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have a strong yearning to understand people and what makes them who they are. That is where my desire for helping people heal and grow was truly cultivated. I am passionate about supporting individuals during their struggles and families in navigating the challenges of child welfare and family law. Prior to starting my private practice, my clinical work has been with non-profit agencies that specialize in working with victims of crime and trauma. Adverse life experiences are opportunities for healing and resolve and I am hopeful that our work together can help create meaning from difficult experiences.
My husband is a therapist and we have two beautiful miracle babies — in addition to our sweet pup and crazy cat. The mountains are my favorite place. We love being outside – camping, hiking, and lots of other outdoor activities depending on the season. Put us outside and we are happy!
I look forward to helping you start the healing process.
